Me, Ill be giving up alcohol, which seeing how I drank all my beer an Rum over the weekend, and I'm back at work, should be a little easier.
ReplyDeleteCommitting to at least 4-5 days training, even if I can't make CFS.
I pledge to give up chocolate, Those who know me know that this is my weakness,
ReplyDeleteyou do not want to get between me and a bar of chocolate, or a tim tam chiller ooohhh chocolate ice cream chocolate milkshake OMG easter eggs (there in the shop already) All chocolate is amazing!!!!
This will be hard and it a big committment that I am willing to take to help me represent Myself, my team mates, my coach and my box to the best of my ability for the 2013 Opens!!!
Sugar, in all its forms**.
ReplyDeleteIts going to be tough because it's in almost everything, but I really need to kick this in the butt - and find my way back to a healthier lifestyle.
..and what better way to do it than in preparation for the Opens! Looking forward to some challenging training in the lead up to this, and hopefully being the fittest I can be in 50 days time.
**with a caveat of the possibility of breaking this for one day of the Australia Day Long Weekend. At least I am honest.
Um, I will be giving up all my mid week( as i dont eat it on the weekends anyway ) junk food eg: Chocolate and lollies and no " fat food fridays". And i will do minimum 2 extra cardio sessions a week on top of my 5 min row to finish each session off....
ReplyDeleteI am going to commit to the cave man diet which involves giving up a lot of foods so it's a win win. I want to be stronger so I have till the games to accomplish this goal.
ReplyDeleteI would love to give up working early and long hrs so I can have more sleep but I doubt this will happen so caveman diet it is.
As this is my third year competing in the Opens my thoughts about preparation started some time ago, after taking a much needed break over the christmas Holidays my preparation began week 1 of 2013. I made several commitments to myself all of which I intend on honouring to become a better Opens athlete third time around, these committments are as follows.
ReplyDelete1. To compete in opens at my preferred weight of 85kgs.
2. To achieve the weight loss and continued training improvement I have committed to eating properly every day.
3. I have also committed to an additonal 1 (or 2) 5km run every week on top of 3 CFS groups and 2 PT Sessions.
4. Continue to rehabilitate my injured shoulder, become stronger and work on the movements I suck at.
5. Learn from my mistakes, listen to my coach, be focused, patient and avoid frustration and just enjoy the ride.
6. Lastly I commit to encourage my team mates and offer whatever assistance I can.
Looking forward to Wearing Number and Representing CFS again at Opens.
