Hanging out at CrossFit St Mary's again, this time with some CFS athlete's James & Nathan. When you join CFS your fees cover you to train at CrossFit Penrith as well.

WOD 5 Rounds Each
Max Rep Deadlifts 120/80 (Int 100/70) 80/50
Max Rep Burpees

*Only One person to complete Deadlifts
*Both Team members to complete burpees at same time.

*Strategise who starts Deadlifts & who needs a rest before burpees etc.
*Record reps from all rounds to get score

  1. Skills - worked on pull ups.. hands are very tender right now.. :(

    WOD - Intermediate 70kg
    Deads 13, 11, 14, 12, 13 = 63
    Burpees 52, 34, 42, 16, 41 = 185

    Total 258

    Worked as an individual. And yeah i wanted to die after this WOD. Pretty happy with my efforts though. I hate burpees and i just remember what Johnny had told me one time, "just keep a steady pace and dont go hard out in the first few reps".

    Set myself a goal in the first round with the burpees, i wanted to get to 50 and ended up getting 52. Round 4 i felt horrible, i felt like quitting, hands were smashed, legs were burning... So round 5 i set myself another goal 13 deads and 40 burpees. Barely made the 13 deads but Michael made me push the last few reps out and the 40 burpees i think i only made because Jody was counting down, and i added 1 more burpee just to prove i to myself i could do it.

    Then i met pukie on the side of the M4 on the way home. Not so glamourous... Tonight was a good night for me, i think i showed myself what i can do.

    great efort on that one.
    and the rest of the cfs crew.
    ok 80kg deadlift. total 28 reps james got 72 reps.
    burpees combined 91 reps.
    this exercise was a good eye opener
    that i need to work harder on my stamina.
